No matter how many friends or family you have, there are times you’ll feel alone. Truth is, no matter how alone you feel, God is always with you. Even though you may not see Him, He offers you the power of His Holy Spirit any time you ask. Because God is with you, you can keep going! Pray that God will give you the power of His Holy Spirit to guide and comfort you in those moments you feel alone.

Cuddle with your child and take turns thanking God for helping you do big things today. Say, “Dear God, [child’s name] and I want to thank You for helping us do big things today, like (name one thing) and (your child names one thing) and (name one thing) and (your child names one thing) . . . ” Continue naming things and close by saying, “We love You, God. In Jesus’ name, amen.”

Parent Cue – Mother’s Day – May 13, 2019

If you are like me, Mother’s Day is anything but relaxing. I appreciate the thought, but the day never quite lives up to its expectations for me and I feel guilty for even typing that. Too often I end the day feeling like I’m not enough. That I’ve failed too often. If you have ever felt the same, I think you’ll enjoy this post from Parentcue.org:

GOD VIEW THIS MONTH: THE CONNECTION BETWEEN
PERSEVERANCE AND GOD’S CHARACTER, AS
SHOWN THROUGH GOD’S BIG STORY –

Throughout history, God has offered strength to help people persevere through difficult situations. Jesus persevered through death itself to make it possible for us to have a forever relationship with God. Because of what Jesus did for us, we can trust Him to help us find the strength to persevere through whatever we face.

Our 252 Bible story this week was:
MATTHEW 28:16-20, ACTS 1-2 –
Great Commission and Spread of the Gospel.

SAY THIS TO CONTINUE THE CONVERSATION:
Keep going because God is with you.

MORNING TIME
Start the day with some music in the house. Play a favorite Christian song loudly for everyone to enjoy and get pumped about the day. As you say goodbye say this, “Don’t give up today. God is with you!”
