BATH TIME
Add some bathtub crayons to bath time this month. Encourage your child to draw long lines. Look at the lines together, and talk about which line is the longest. Say, “Wow! Those are some long lines. Do you know Jesus’ love is longer than the longest line? It’s true! Jesus’ love never, ever, EVER ends!”

Read John 13. Jesus, God’s own Son, set aside what He deserved to serve His friends. We can serve our friends and families and the people we meet every day. Together, brainstorm some creative ways that you could serve others at home, school, and in your community. Then choose one to do this week. Ask God to give each of you a heart and opportunity to serve others.

Raising Kids to be Servant-Hearted – Parent Cue Week of February 18, 2019

FUMC wants to encourage children to be servant-hearted. Together, the church and parents can make a bigger influence! We are focusing on service this month with the kids. Join us by giving your child opportunities to help around the house, like helping with dinner or taking out the trash. Make sure to praise them profusely for being a good servant to your family.

As you drive, tell your child to look for things that are very high. Maybe it’s a tall truck or a building or an airplane that is way, way high in the air. Talk about how Jesus’ love for us is SO high, no one can measure it! It never stops!
