First Look Week of March 4, 2019

This month, we will begin laying the foundation for some very important future conversations around the subject of sexual integrity. Before we ever talk with kids and teens about what to do and not do with their bodies, we need to start with who made their body and why that makes them so valuable.
And a great place to start is now, in the preschool years, with this simple but powerful truth—God made me. Preschoolers need to learn now that they are wonderfully made by God, in His image. This makes them very important and motivates them to respect themselves and others.

Our Bible Verse for week one:
PSALM 139:14
Every person is wonderfully made by God.

SAY THIS TO REMIND YOUR CHILD OF SUNDAY’S LESSON:
Who made you?
God made me.

DO THIS TO REMIND YOUR CHILD OF SUNDAY’S LESSON:
MORNING TIME
When you go into your child’s room this month, say, “Good morning! I see someone God made. It’s you! (Point to child.) God made you! And I am SO glad He did!”

REMEMBER THIS:
“I am fearfully and wonderfully made.”
Psalm 139:14, NIV

BASIC TRUTH: GOD MADE ME.
