Have you ever played PAC-MAN? The best part of that game is eating the large power pellets. Pac-Man immediately powers up, and then you can do anything. The bad guys can’t get you! You can eat them and earn bonus points doing it! It’s awesome!

Feeling like we can do anything is a pretty great feeling. We may not have power pellets lying around that we can eat to power up, but we do have another power source—a real power source that gives us the power to do everything God wants us to do. His name is Jesus. And,He is AMAZING!

We are going to Power Up through the next two months with the hope of creating a super fun and engaging experience for preschoolers to learn about the fruit of the spirit—what happens when we are connected to Jesus, the real power source.
Our Bible Stories for week one of Power Up were 1 CORINTHIANS; JOHN 3:16; JOHN 13:34 –

First Look Week of May 6, 2019

What would you do if you were assigned a huge building
project to manage? Or told to step into the leadership
role for an entire nation where every person would
depend on you to make the right decisions? How about
helping someone else accomplish a big job where you’re
not going to get much recognition? Or, do the one thing
you would be most afraid of doing, while everyone you
know watches?

All of these are pretty big things and would intimidate most
of us. However, God can help us do really big things. When
our preschoolers are faced with big things, we want them to
remember to hop to it, because God will help them.
Our world is filled with things that are big and sometimes
scary. When our preschoolers face these big things, we
don’t want them to run. We want them to hop to it because
they know God is bigger and will help them do big things.

The Bible story this week was:
1 KINGS 5-6 –

First Look Week of April 8, 2019

God created us to be in a relationship with Him and in
relationships with people here on earth. He wants us to
have friends, and He wants us to be a good friend. In
fact, He wants it so much, God sent His one and only Son,
Jesus, to show us how to be a good friend and make a
way for us to be friends with Him forever.
Friendships are a big part of preschoolers’ lives. Through
these first relationships, they are learning how to be
a friend, have fun with friends, get along with friends,
problem solve with friends, resolve conflict with friends,
and above all, love friends.
This month, we hope preschoolers will learn that Jesus
is their friend – the best friend they will ever have. If our
preschoolers finish this month knowing that Jesus wants
to be their friend forever, that is a huge win! That will
make it a very Happy Easter!
